My Dell came with Roxio pre-installed, but there's a
problem with a company DVD that is not copy-protected.
Now I understand that Roxio and Vista don't work well
together.
Is there another tool that's likelier to get this job done?

Elby CloneDVD 2.9.0.9 (the one i use) works well on Vista 32 Bit and
Vista 64 Bit. Get the newer version here: 'elby CloneDVD™ 2'

They are the perfect match to do whatever you want to do with DVDs
They cost a bit, they perform great.

Absolutely. Two nearly perfect pieces of software,
and well worth the money.
If you decide to use different DVD copy software,
at least try AnyDVD.... having just the copy software
is usually not enough to burn movies that you buy.
There are a few DVD copy programs that have the "copy
software protection" removal built in. However, AnyDVD
just seems to do it better, and it is regularly updated.
Don't be intimidated by those who tell you not to copy
a movie. If you buy it, copy it- and tell those nervous ninnies
to mind their own business.

Some people who don't like Windows spell it that way.
