dear friends
Iam running hp dv6000 windows vista ult
after installing and getting the drivers from hp, now the volume
control and wireless buttons not working(not even have lights) and also
all quick play button not responding although they are blue(have
lights)
any help please
It seems obvious that you have not installed ALL of the necessary drivers.
It is easy to do unless you have the original installation CD that comes
with a mother board. Go back to the website and see what you have missed.

Perhaps you should post your question on HP forum.
I'm also using hp laptop.
I occasionally noticed that wireless button didn't work when I was using
Vista. However, on the reboot it would come back.
Today, I'm using Windows 7 without HP QuickLaunch program.
Wireless button works OK.
Volume button (mute) works OK.
Volume slider works OK, but doesn't show on-screen slider bar when I slide
my finger over the slider.
Info button doesn't work (I don't care).
Presentation button doesn't work (I don't care).

In speaking of a retail motherboard, I have seen many times that what is
included on the M/B install CD are not necessarily on the manufacturers web
site.
I have also seen this with purchased HP computers - as recently as 4 weeks
ago. My brothers brand new HP desktop did NOT have all the drivers presented
on the web site that were included with the pre-install of Vista.
If they don't have them you will have to do a factory restore to out of box
condition. This will include all drivers/software for what was supplied with
the computer.
If the computer was not designed explicitly for Vista, HP may not even have
the necessary drivers available.
