I close the lid: Sleep. I open the lid: More Sleep.
I cannot "wake up" the machine.
I'm running a new Toshiba A135 dual-core 1.7g with 1g of RAM.
Since I was having problems with Vista not shutting down properly, I opted
simply to start closing the lid and putting the machine to sleep. Alas, now
Vista doesn't want to wake up.
Has any "fix" been released for this?
Meanwhile, I find that I'm using my old XP machine more and more often . . .

Well, I give this a try, and still, when I open the lid, the laptop continues
to snooze.
Any other suggestions out there?
