Default Vista VPN connected but can't see anyone

My VPN says it's connected but i'm unable to ping any computers on my
network. I have an XP machine setup the same exact way and it works fine.
Only difference I notice is that the Vista VPN is giving me a gateway address
of 0.0.0.0 and the XP machine is giving me one totally different. I've
unchecked and checked the box in the VPN properties that says use default
gateway on remote network and neither way worked. Any ideas? Thanks

yes but as soon as I VPN in the gateway goes to 0.0.0.0, and the only thing I
can manually input on the VPN settings is the IP and the Subnet
