Default Vista; System Restore Differences

Running Vista Home Prem 32 Bit on a Desktop and a Laptop.....

Opening System Restore to review recorded Restore points I noticed a
difference between the Restore points listed in the Desktops' list from the
Laptops'.

The Desktop list includes updates, driver installs, etc, and, daily Restore
points labeled "System:Scheduled Checkpoints".

The Laptops Restore Points list only shows Updates, etc....it does not
contain any "System: Scheduled Checkpoint". Saved Restore points go back
about 4 months. It would seem to me a dialy Restore Point is important. I
see no setting and, my C:\ is checked under System Properities\System
Protection Tab. So my Desktop records a daily Point and my Laptop does not.

Why doesn't the Laptop save any "System: Scheduled Checkpoints"?

Did you tick your C: drive in System Protection on your laptop?

Yep, it was checked. I did discover why System: Scheduled Ceckpoints was
never recording. Under Task Scheduler "Restore Points"....Settings where
checked to stop a System Checkpoint if Laptop was operating on Battery. I
only use my Laptop on Battery...so I unchecked this setting...and 20 minutes
later System estore recorded a Checkpoint.
