Default Vista suspend/resume

When I resume Windows from sleep, I notice strange behaviour which is not
always the same. For example the ethernet controler is lost from devices and
I need to refresh devices and then it is reinstalled. Regional options with
additional languages do not work. Printers are lost or the computer cannot
start print jobs. Overall, the system is unstable and you need to reboot.

Is there any fix for that behaviour?

Happens to me too. If you search the web you will find it happens to many
people, and I think it is more likely to happen with certain motherboards.

Maybe you can try updating the BIOS to the latest version available.

Go to device Manager and see if in the Advanced properties of your NIC there
isn't a power down on Sleep setting. Disable this and that might help.

More info: I noticed that this happens mostly when running on battery. Also,
If I refresh devices when on battery, the NIC is not found. When I plug-in
and the refresh, my NIC is discovered.
