Default Vista sleep problem

My laptop has Vista premium home, the screen saver goes on after the
determined time then off but the hard drive never goes to sleep. If I close
it manually, it works. This problem is new as it was working fine just 2
weeks ago.

Hi LucM70,

Make sure that your hard drive is set to turn off at least one minute
before the computer is set to go into sleep mode. See STEP TWO in this
tutorial for how if needed.

Its funny that you are saying to me to go to the xp newsgroup, while you are
advertising other OS unrelated to Vista in a vista newsgroup..

Windows Server 2008 Is The Server Version Of Windows Vista Service Pack One,
Just FYI.

P.S. The Only Reason Why I Mentioned Open Source Linux Ubuntu 7.10 RTW, Is
So That People Like You Who Don't Want To Run Vista, Can Find Something
Other Than Windows XP To Run On Their Computer's, As Windows XP Support Will
Be Discontinued In 2009 For Home Users, And In 2014 For Corporate Users,
Just FYI. I Bet That You Didn't Know About That, Hot Shot, Just FYI.

they do not use the name vista for a good reason.
I do have and use vista, but that does not mean I really like it that
much...

giving alternatives is good.. I already have vista xp and ubuntu as a triple
boot on this machine.

>You Didn't Know About That, Hot Shot, Just FYI.

Oh of course I know that. What you don't know.. is that they will extend
this date more...

if you stop typing "FYI" you will reduce strain on your hands by 80%
because that's your most common word (acronym actually)

Doris you and kev and many others are only yourself under various aliases.

All you do is fill this newsgroup with unrelated stuff... if at least they
were smart or informative
or entertaining stuff I would say ok.. but what you post is STUPID CRAP!

you must know that everyone is ignoring you.. I KNOW I IGNORE YOU!

Go play somewhere else... you are ultimately boring
