Is there a relatively pain free way to uninstall vista back to xp. I am
having to many compatibility problems and it seems as though microsoft isn't
doing much about them

Unfortunately, the only way is to format the hard drive and do a clean
install of XP.

Hi Leo,
You can boot from your XP installation DVD and format the hard drive,
then proceed to install XP.

Insert your XP disk and delete the partition on the hard drive.
And install XP
