unexpected error 0x80004005 trying to extract downloaded zip-files

Hello,

since a few days i can not extract downloaded zip-files. i always get

0x80004005: unexpected error

there is no problem to expand zip-files from other sources (not downloaded
from internet).

Any ideas???

I have just had the same problem in Windows Vista Ultimate.

I solved the issue by simply using WinRar to unzip the Zip folder.

I installed WinRar and then right clicked on the Zip Folder, clicked
Oopen With... Then I browsed to c:\program files/winrar/winrar.exe
and then selected Winrar from the list of programs when it appeared!

It then unzipped with no problems!

Winrar is avalibale free from Download.com
