Unable to launch Outlook 2007 eail

What a night folks -- need your help -- okay, had outlook 2003 on an older PC
and wanted to transfer that email to a newer laptop with full blown Outlook
2007. I saved the .pst on the new laptop and then dragged it to outlook --
and after that, is where the trouble began. When I launched the new email --
basically, now, I have the following error message -- Extension failed to
initialize. Cannot open file extend.dat I have tried for the last while
to delete the older .pst files to no avail. I deinstalled office standard
and reinstalled it to no avail. Help & then I'll leave you alone. Thanks

Did you try taking the old extend.dat out of the picture?
