How can I turn off the Vista login page listing all the local accounts
and login using the windows workgroup logon badge like the domain
login. I am using Vista home Premium. Can any one tell me how to turn
this feature off and turn on the Vista login badge??
If it's similar to XP, there's some registry setting that decides the
"style" for the login page -- i.e. so you can set the domain login page
that has the username/password fields.

Not sure exactly what you mean. But look around here:
Start / Run ---- type
control userpasswords2
