Default Is there a solution yet?

My apologies if there is a solution posted - I have completed a search & have
found lots of common thread with others with the same/similar problem, but I
have yet to find an actual solution.

I have the power management settings on my computer set to 'Balanced
Setting' with default settings. The setting under Multimedia/When Sharing
Media is set to 'allow computer to sleep'. I am also running a photo slide
show as my screen saver.

If I put my computer to sleep manually (ie. using the sleep button on the
keyboard), my computer goes asleep & for the most part stays asleep. I will
come on for some scheduled tasks/updates, etc & I think my cat tries to surf
the net in the middle of the night, but generally it stays asleep after I
push the button.

The problem is, it will not go to sleep on its own according to the plan
settings. The slide show begins after the designated amount of time, however
the slideshow will run indefinately. The display does not turn off after 20
minutes & the computer won't enter sleep mode after 30 minutes. Based on
other posts this appears to be a problem associated directly with the photo
screen saver.

Has anyone figured out a solution yet? If needed, I will change the screen
saver to something else, but I am hoping there is/will be an update that will
address this issue.
