Default System speed improve

Hi there!
My computer is getting slower every time I turn it on if I compare when
vista was just installed. I have removed many startup programs, but when
vista loads, it takes more than a minute.

How can I improve my system????

Defrag, Tuneup Utilities, Advanced System Optimizer, get rid of
non-essential desktop items, buy more memory, buy a faster processor, adjust
display properties for performance not style?

Hi,

Apparently you haven't disabled the right startup programs. Look to your
antivirus software, expecially if you are running a Norton/Symantec product,
as overly aggressive settings tend to bog the machine down.

there are a lot of things that you can do...
I have been able to make vista far faster than out of the box...
However I must point out that even a super tweaked vista is slower than
a bloated XP.. lol

I must make a tutorial some time soon about this..

for the time being you can disable some services..
look here http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/servicecfg.htm

but make a restore point before you do anything and be careful with these
tweaks

Probably the startup programs, but cheap memory can have quite an effect
also. 2gig is certainly adequate for most but low bandwidths and timings
can really hurt.
