Default Strange Beeps At Intervals

I am hearing at intervals (15? 30 minutes?) a series of beeps, like bird
cheeping. They are usually 4 beeps about 1 second apart...sometimes it
seems the beep count is 5.

What could I have installed that is doing this?

Hi,

Mute the volume, do you still hear it? If so, then these are motherboard
error tones and you would do well to pay attention to them. The motherboard
or system manual should be able to tell you what they are trying to tell
you.

If you don't hear them after muting, then there is some software running
that is causing it and you will have to address it by disabling running
processes a few at a time until it stops.
