Start menu items vanished, need help restoring!!

Some of my start menu items disappeared including shortcuts to games,
shortcuts to internet explorer 64 bit and 32 bit, and loads of others.
It happened as I was performing maintainance and I can't seem to sort it!
Please help!!!!

You must have inadvertently asked it to delete. To replace just open
start/programs and right click and chose Pin to Start Menu to add that
program to the list.
