Default spyware software

I used Lavasoft Ad aware in Xp.. I read it's not completely compatible with
Vista.. ran a scan.. looks like it considered every cookie a threat.. I left
them alone. In XP I remember it finding cookies, but they did look like
undesirable treats so I would delete. So there's windows defender... is this
good enough. Is there a program out there that advised.?

I wouldn't worry too much about cookies. Use Firefox and remove private
info/cookies easily.

I use Adaware without problem, it still only lists the same
cookies it did with XP.
