Speech Recognition

Is there a way to use Speech Recognition without using the headphones? There
should be a way to hook up the computer to speakers so you can come into the
room and start talking to the computer?

I've got it hooked up to a regular microphone sitting on the desk, just have
to make sure the room is *really* quiet. I like to use it to answer my email
in the morning before everyone else gets up, while I wander around watering
plants, picking up after kids, etc... multitasking! It works considerably
better than the guy in the video was getting...
