Default SP1 repair disk

Hi,
A quick question to the group. I installed SP1 (standalone download) I was
expecting to see an option to create a vista repair disk under start/all
programs/maintenance but there was no additional entry. Is this missing from
SP1 or hidden elsewhere.

Many Thanks.
Martin

Martin Regarding "...I was expecting to see an option to create a vista
repair disk ...." - Why? The Vista DVD is the "repair disk".

Martin,

SP1 was supposed to have a recovery disk option, but its not there. You
can follow these instructions to make a recovery disk:

You expected a feature you saw in a alpha/beta/preview version.
Yes, oviously somebody decided to not include it in the final product
because of issues or anything else, only known to Microsoft's engineers , so
what - you have no right to expect anything , hell even Microsoft could have
decided to not ship a final product at all.
The Eulas you accepted for installation do tell you exactly this, so don't
bother.

Take your Installation Disk for repair options, if you have none you should
complain this to the manufacturer of your system, because it's up to them to
ship a disc or not, that is not Mícrosoft's business to take care of, and
that's the difference between OEM and Retail FPP . The standard retail disc
has all repair options one can think of, plus all editions of vista on the
very same DVD.

Have a nice day
JR
