Signing on to Community Groups with Vista and a Curiosity Questio
Hi all,
I've had a curiosity question regarding Vista and when I went to sign in to
this group with my Vista machine, I discovered I couldn't. When I click the
sign in button, the screen goes blank for a second and then returns to the
same position. As you can see, I'm no having any problems on my XP machine.
The curiosity question I have is this: When I hover over the task bar on my
Vista machine, the pointer turns to a rapidly moving circle - just like it
turns to an hour glass in XP. That indicates to me that it is in the midst of
doing something and is hung up, yet all of the programs seem to be operating
(though way to slow for my liking). Does this mean something? It does it on
any open program, but not over the Quick Launch Buttons or icons that are on
the far right. It also does not happen when Windows Media is embedded in the
task bar.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide on these matters.

It could be as simple as allowing pop-ups. Check the bar at the top of the
screen.

Re: Signing on to Community Groups with Vista and a Curiosity Questio
I think there must be something wrong here. I also have had trouble signing
into "communities"....just as described above. I followed suggestion to get
here....ie. newsgroup...but why isn't windows community working???? (I did
turn off pop-up blocker and I think it might have worked once but not
now....but that didn't seem to help but regardless why should we need to do
that???)

BINGO, CONLEY!!!
I had the exact same problems - unable to sign in with my Live ID - but with
the interface you provided I have no problems! Thank you so much!
I wonder what could be wrong with the original web interface...
