Search function problems with VIsta

I cannot finish typing my query in the search window before the 'search'
starts and prevents me from typing the complete query. WHY?

It's supposed to start searching before you are finished. Does it not allow
you to type after any specific amount of characters?

As when trying to search for - FTMVista, I only get to type the F and the
search commences. Chuck

You are supposed to just continue typing the whole word. That is searching
on the fly which is great.

If you don't like the option, then you can configure it via

Control Panel (classic view) > Folder Options > Search > Uncheck 'Find
Partial Matches'

Personally I like the feature and keep it enabled.
