I have scanned documents and tried to "open with" Works word. It tells me
that it cannot open it or the file may be corrupt. What am I doing wrong.
(Vista home premium--Canoscan LIDE 70) I have been trying for months.

It may be creating a filetype that Works cannot open. Open the saved
document in wordpad and save it before opening it in Works Word.

This is unbelieveable. I scaned the document into wordpad and it came out
looking as if I was on drugs. What have I done now? W.Monroe

What is the suffix on the scanned document. A scan produces a "picture"
not an editable document. Try opening it with MS paint and see what happens.
