I'm having a problem with emc 9 with vista ultimate.Everytime i choose to
convert video to portable media. After I choose the video windows closes the
program. If anybody has a solution it will be greatly appreciated.
Just as when Windows XP was introduced, Roxio issued patches that supposedly
made CD Creator 5 compatible with XP. Most everyone knew that it wasn't
truly compatible. It wasn't until Roxio came out with CD Creator 6 a couple
of months later that true compatibility was achieved.
I would not expect them to be any different this time around. EMC 10 will do
the job, when they get around to releasing it. Seeing the heavy discount
emails I constantly receive from them, it looks like they are trying to run
down their stock of version 9 now. So, you buy version 9 and 2 months later
they release ver 10. Do you get it for free. Of course not. You "may" get a
small discount however.
That's Roxio. But hey, they aren't as bad as Intuit with their QuickBooks.

I promised myself every version of Roxio I bought would be my last. Finally,
with version 8 sitting unused on the floor and the version 9 "upgrade"
e-mails safely deleted. I may have stopped the madness.
I found the older I get the less sophisticated my needs are. As much as I
don't like bloat, the new features in Windows cause me to buy (or upgrade)
fewer 3rd party utilities. And I suppose "bloat" is relative... Being able to
image my drive with Vista eliminates Ghost. Basic burning eliminates Roxio.
Together they are over a GB fully loaded...

LOl emc 9 yes, is that the only problem you are having. How about the trial
version expiring on a full retail copy. Do yourself a favor do what I did.
uninstall, hire a hit man to follow you around and shoot you in the face if
you ever think about buying a roxio product again!
