Default Robbery Vista (and other MS products) price

I was about to ask - how long yet to wait until Microsoft will finally apply
local pricing policy? How that's happened that Vista Ultimate retail cost
over $600 ID in Russia, comparing to just $300 ID in USA?!!!!! Home Premium
cost over $300 ID, comparing to $150 ID in USA, but should cost not over $30
ID. Why do MS applies robbery pricing policy? And where is so promised by MS
local pricing policy?
No wonder 99,(9)% of Russia and China are not on Genuine products.

I'm glad you see its true value.

If it were not for sh*t and its chemical equivalents, agricultural
fertilizers, most of the world could not be fed.

Its an interesting issue, I hope in the future Microsoft look at product
pricing from an ecnomic stand point. The Company is working hard on this,
for in stance in China, Vista Home Premium cost $67, which Vista Business
cost $150. So, the Company is listening. But you have to take into account,
piracy is responsible for high pricing.

If you can afford a moden powerful enough PC to run Vista Ultimate, why
can't you invest in the software is a critical part of the experience on the
PC? Its a very complex issue.

No, greed is. In Spain, a retail copy of Ultimate goes for over 1000 US
Dollars. That, my friend, is highway robbery, pure and simple. They also
made it so in Spain you cannot buy a generic OEM copy XP or Vista
without buying an ENTIRE computer.

Have to factor in duties and taxes in those countries. Some places have 100%
or more import duty. So blame the country and their tax structure.

I export from here in the US and my customers buying direct like my prices.
But when they add shipping and the duty to get it past customs that items
triples easily

look at China, where they're practically giving it away due to all the
piracy.
I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere - LOL

Because lots of folks are willing to pay it. I've heard that MS has
offered vista for $40 to purchasers of the new gOS computer ($199) at
walmart.
