I purchased a laptop approx 3 months ago and just realised that I was never
given a windows vista installation CD. However, Windows Vista home premium is
already installed into my labtop. It has the genuine windows vista sticker
stuck on it, with other stickers eg core2duo-intel-centrino and etc.
Can someone PLEASE teach me how to make a windows vista rebootable CD/DVD?
I have my 25 digits code on my laptop too. Is there a way to make a backup
copy or the installation of windows vista CD?
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. I'm worried that my laptop might crash
on me one day.
Some OEMs usually include the Windows Installation as a recovery partition
which you have to boot into using a Function command the BIOS startup. You
could try contacting the OEM you purchases your machine from about obtaining
a physical Vista DVD. They really the ones who are responsible for this.

Very few OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturers ) provide a Windows
DVD. The "Standard" procedure for recovery is a Recovery partition on
the drive. By pressing a certain Key combination at power on the PC will
start the recovery process. The partition is usually a Image of the Factory
state condition of the computer.
Vista will have a utility that allows the user to create a "Repair Disk", in
the
form of a Windows PE environment. This will allow a user to access the
equivalent of the Recovery Console to fix common issues.
You should contact the OEM and ask if they will provide you a Windows
Vista DVD. Some provide it free, others charge a nominal fee for the disk.
As an alternative, I'd consider an imaging program such as Acronis True
Image to protect your system/setup.
