Default Recording TV to my Laptop

Please Help. I think I have all the toys but cannot figure it out ?(ROOKIE)
My set up is,,, Digital cable with HD channels hooked up with the cable
companies Moxi DVR box viewed on a Toshiba 56hmx96 and I want to record and
burn DVD's for personel use on my Toshiba Satilite x205-s9349 Laptop running
Vista home premium 64 bit.

Thanks Robert,,, I suppose there is no way to accomplish this with out a TV
Tuner Card. Oh well,,, offto the computer store i go.. should just move
closer to it with the gas prices and all.lol THANKS AGAIN
