Default reading CD-R

I have a CD that contains music. I believe that the files were saved
using Adaptec's software - no longer have the programmes

When inserting the disk into the CR (RW) drive it appears to read
noramly but continues and continues.

Can anyone suggest a way to read this disk

Thanks

The following download might help but
I don't know if it will run on Vista:

Free...Adaptec UDF Reader Driver 5.1.1.213
