Try the same registry path in the CURRENT_USER section.
If you can see the invalid entries in the Control Panel / Programs and
Features app, what happens if you select the invalid entry and click the
Uninstall Button?

That's what I tried before going into the registry. No response to clicking
in the add-remove section like you'd expect.

Hi Fred,
There is a program called "CCleaner" that has a feature in it that will
remove the uninstall entries easily for you. Click the "Tools" button
in CCleaner. This is a great free program.
*There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.*

Can someone tell me where I can find the list of "installed programs" in
Vista? I looked here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Uninstall
and though most of my installs were listed, several "invalid entries" I'd
like to remove don't appear like they did in XP.
Yahoo! Yipeee! - that was EXACTLY what I needed. Two seconds and they were
gone.
Thanks very much.

May be you need the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove those
listings.
