I have two Vista Home Premium computers on my network. The computer that is
connected by cable to the router and modem received the Vista SP1 download
through Windows Update a while back. It installed with no issues. The other
computer, which is wirelessly connected to the first one and the network has
not received the download. The wireless computer does receive Windows
Updates, it just hasn't gotten SP1. I know I can manually download SP1, but
that isn't the question. This has happened before. A recent upgrade to
OneCare was received by the hardwired computer but not by the wireless one.
I manually downloaded in that case. Is there some setting or some weird
reason that Windows Update hasn't made contact with my other computer?
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation
from Windows Update and is not offered by Automatic Updates: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=948343
