In XP, when I would highlight a file, theere was an option, to the left, to
move this file. In Vista, I cannot find this option. How do you go about
moving files in Vista?

Ken,
Install/merge the attached registry file, you will then have two
new options in your right-click context menu-
"Copy to Folder" and "Move to Folder. Very handy.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact you appear to be viewing and
posting from the Web interface as opposed to using an e-mail client. I'm
not sure because I'm not using the web interface at this time.
Just a note of caution about "Moving." Many years ago, early in my Windows
experience so it might have been Windows 3.1 I opted to move a bunch of
files at once to a different folder or drive and hit a glitch and lost a
sizable chunk of those files. I scrounged around and managed to get most of
them back off of backups but it wasn't easy. The lesson, for me anyway,
always Copy. Then, if something goes wrong, you've lost nothing. You can
always delete the originals after a successful copy but if you move and
something goes wrong, you've lost the originals as well and it may be a real
chore getting them back, if at all.

My Outlook Express filters out these dangerous attachments using a really
stupid rule that just disallows files with certain extensions. When
attaching scripts and .reg files, just append .txt to the file name. It
sure saves the pain of fixing line wrap.

Do you think maybe you could walk us through this I would really like to
have the Copy to Folder" and "Move to Folder option that I had with XP I
really don't have a clue how to do it
