I am having the same problem and think it is because of the last update that
I installed. I tried to restore to a point before that and it was
unsuccessful. I dont know what to do now. I tried all the solutions given
here like feifei did and to no avail. I need serious help!

Ok, post back with the outcome, and if it does restore the uninstall option
specify what update it was.

You're not alone with this problem! It just happened to me as well. I'm
guessing within the last week or so. Anybody have a registry fix for this
issue? I'd assume it would be a registry fix...

Rich, can you correlate it's appearance with anything? Windows updates,
software installs, hardware installs, driver updates, etc? Have you tried a
system restore to when the problem wasn't present?

The uninstall button will only appear when a program is selected. You can
still right-click the program and select uninstall if it doesn't show up.

Yeah this one is a pain. AFAIK, there hasn't been any specific correlation
as to the cause of this problem. I use Acronis True Image version 10 (or
Complete PC Backup in Business, Enterprise and Ultimate) to image the system
to an external drive. That way if something causes a problem you can't fix,
restore the most recent image. At least you're backup running in an hour or
so.
I have just noticed that I am having the same problem and I have tried all
the solutions given here with now luck. However my one has a twist, I just
installed a new program about 10 minutes back and it has the uninstall option
when I click on it. Also it seems that not all my installed programmes are
even listed here as well. I had no problems up until yesterday as I can
recall 21st June 2007.
