I just used the WSRToolkit found at: http://www.mymsspeech.com/microphone...=71&prodID=228
to create a macro named "Wiesinger" which is also the trigger word. It
executes Wiesinger Stauffer Schneier McCabe are contributors perfectly every
time.
The WSRtool kit uses the same code as the WSRMacros applet. Here is the code
that was created:

Anything at all, Vista NotePad, WordPad, several
other apps.
(I do not use any form of the
"Word" application, however)
I tried including spaces/tabs in the text macro
itself, but they do not register when the macro
executes, everything still runs together.
The workaround of course is to deliberately insert
a space by voice _before_ and _after_ executing
the macro, but I am not willing to put up with that
added waste of time.
Bad enough I have to pause both before and after
tripping the text-macro.
All the other speech apps I use here act normally,
they include any spaces.
(Dragon, MacSpeech, etc.)
Guess my only recourse now is to create a keypress
macro, to see if the spaces will register.
Thanks all, guess my hope of finding an _easy_ way
to do this will not work. <sigh>

FWIW, the keypress macro would not register a
leading space either.
So here is my final impression of how Vista Speech acts
when dictating a list of names.
(each name is a separate text macro)
Vista Speech user speaks this:
"Members are space Finklestien comma space
Bartholomeu comma space McCabe period"
Results in this:
"Members are Finklestien, Bartholmeu, McCabe."
By contrast, a Dragon user speaks this:
"Members are Finklestien comma
Bartholomeu comma McCabe period"
I could be wrong about all this, because I have limited
experience running Vista Speech.

Without training or using macros, I will try this:
The members are Finkelstein, Bartholomeu, and Mccabe.
Apparently it doesn't really know McCabe very well but this can be trained.
I just added the word McCabe to the dictionary and it seems to know McCabe
every time.
Have you tried adding words to the speech dictionary? If not, say "Open
Speech Dictionary." Then say, "Add a new word." You should not need to make
macros for most words.

I generally agree that macros should be avoided, if for
no other reason that they slow down the "flow"
of speaking, because of the need to pause slightly
both before and after the macro.
However I deal with very strange names, such as
"Peide D. Ye", so have made it a policy in my case to
create a separate macro for all names.
One other problem surfaces when _NOT_ using macros.
For example, an atomic particle called a "twiston".
....as in:
"The twiston is a new kind of particle defined in the
context of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics. It possesses mass,
charge, spin and magnetic moment. If its gyromagnetic ratio is
given by the Dirac value (g = 2), the classical analogue is that
of a rapidly rotating, charged black hole with naked singularity.
However, this paper is concerned with (first-) quantised twistons
and with spin 1/2."
Speech apps invariably handle twiston as two words, "twist on".
Trying to resolve this by "training" the speech app to recognize
twiston by looking at surrounding words is hit and miss, mainly
because "twiston" is rarely associated with the same surrounding
words.
Result is that I find that fewer mistakes need correction when I
adopt the policy of "spotting" such words before I speak them,
and realize that I have converted all such words to macros.
That means I have to slow down when speaking such words:
"The Twist on is a new kind of"
I go to extremes, even force myself to such arcane measures
as saying "plural twist on" when I want "twistons". <g>
I get very unhappy if my technical text drops below 99%
raw uncorrected accuracy.
Vista Speech Recognition has been a pain in my side for
some time now. I believe it is capable of much more than
I initially gave it credit for, so I am mounting a concerted
"attack" to grok as much of it as I can.
In about a month, I will need to learn enough to get
Vista Speech to handle the below example between the
lines of asterisks.
For a "success" in my view, it will have to handle the
below example with at least 90 words per minute, with
a raw accuracy of at least 99% _before_ correction.
There are roughly 200 words, so that means there can be
no more than two mistaken "words".
It takes me roughly three minutes to speak those 200 words,
which is roughly 67wpm.
There are roughly 600 syllables, so that would be about
200wpm if simple one-syllable words were used.
Wish me luck on this "test" one month from now.

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: The nucleoside analogue gemcitabine inhibits
cellular repair and repopulation, induces apoptosis, causes tumor
growth delay, and enhances radiation-induced growth delay. After single
doses of drug and radiation, maximum enhancement of tumor response was
obtained when gemcitabine preceded radiation by at least 24 h.
Conversely, the cellular radioresponse of the normal gastrointestinal
epithelium was slightly protected when gemcitabine and radiation were
separated by 24 h. This differential response created a time frame
within which the****utic gain could be maximized. In our present
investigation, we sought to define the most the****utically beneficial
scheme of gemcitabine administration when combined with fractionated
radiotherapy.
.... All 3 schedules of drug administration produced the****utic gain;
however, when gemcitabine was given more than once in a 5-fraction
radiation treatment schedule, normal tissue toxicity increased. The
highest the****utic gain (1.4) was achieved by giving a single dose of
gemcitabine (25 mg/kg) 24 h before the start of fractionated
radiotherapy.

I have not seen Marty attack anybody in this newsgroup. In fact, as I see
it, he answers many questions that people in here have raised, which is very
helpful. Far from attacking anybody.

You have posted this many many times, proving you like to spam a bit
yourself.
I get the impression you are very jealous of his setup so you resort to
childish tactics in trying your utmost to slag him off in here.
I have also heard that you have a criminal record and have been in trouble
in the past, so making you the envious, vindictive individual you are.
Marty has always been very courteous and helpful towards people such as
myself and many others in here. You on the other hand, have a big chip on
your shoulder and it sounds like a case of sour g****s on your part because
you have nothing. This makes you a jealous little moron with nothing better
to do than try to destroy the reputation of an honest businessman.
More vicious spam! You have posted this umpteen times! Take a good, long
hard look in the mirror. You are the one that is spamming the same old crap
over and over again.
It is no wonder you have to hide behind a false name!

I not only use speech recognition for dictation, I use it for
controlling my computer through speech activated scripting (been
doing systemwide macroing since windows 3.1, speech was a great
enhancement). I have no need for Marty or anything he sells.

Says a freak whose only activity in this group has been extremely
long and tedious rants against Mark Conrad. Because Mark has been
critical of Marty the spammer's products?

Me and others, Andy, because spam is prohibited on USENET.

But in fact, trying to correct a ranting/raving troll who claims
to be a quadriplegic is not easy for me. That is one big handicap
you have there, Andy.

Sounds like a sock puppet.

Sounds like a sock puppet. That is the argument Marty always
makes, trying to turn the conversation to his business every
chance he gets. The question is not whether a spammer has a good
reputation or is honest, in fact the USENET is simply not for
spammers (except in properly labeled groups).
Nope, just providing links to what other USENET authors have written.
> It is no wonder you have to hide behind a false name!
Right, I am hiding from a quadriplegic...
Marty the spammer regularly makes/made that same argument, beating
his chest about using a real name (when in fact he has frequently
used sock puppets here on USENET and in forums on the web).
