media player 11 working w/ a mp3 player

when i have a mp3 player hooked to a usb , media player says it has to close .
when there isnt a mp3 player it works fine.
any ideas?

What brand/model MP3 player is this? Have you checked the manufacturers
website for updates, patches or any necessary software you need to install
first before connecting it?
