Default Mac OS 10.4 can't see shared Vista printers

I have an intel based Mac that shared an epson printer thru an XP system with
no problem.
I replaced the XP machine with a brand new Vista (home premium) machine.
File sharing (mac to vista; vista to mac is working fine, no problem)
Printer is marked as shared on Vista.
I have tried setting the NTLM to 1 on vista, shortening share print name to
under 12 characters, but still the Mac cannot see any available share printer.
Any thoughts on what I am missing?

Hi,

Click start, type 'network and sharing center' and hit <enter>, check the
settings here.

Default RE: Mac OS 10.4 can't see shared Vista printers

Thanks Rick.

All sharing is "on" except password which is off.

Clicking "show all network folders on this computer" shows me the two file
folders I am sharing successfully and the printer (in this case EP2400) which
is not showing up in the Mac printer utility.

I have tried with passwords as well and with "guest" account activated. Any
other thoughts?

Not really, as I'm not familiar with Mac's, so don't know how to advise on
testing network paths from it (which is what I would next).
