Keyboard will not activate after sleep mode

I have a new HP Pavilion (Feb 07) which came loaded with Vista. After
the computer has been in sleep mode, when I check my email (Outlook),
the mouse seems to work fine, the first time I try to use the keyboard,
it locks up and I have to turn off the computer to start over.

Any fixes?
BTW I had a problem with the disk drive all of the sudden quit working,
read in this forum that iTunes was not compitable, once I removed it
from my system - no problems.

There are some know issues with USB keyboard and mice with Vista after
hibernate or sleep. See if the following provides help:
