I thought the question was straight forward-There is no info on this subject
(that I can find) in these forums.The only way I discovered speedstep was by
accident browsing through my bios settings.I also found out it is "disabled"
by default.
Question-what is speedstep?
Question-Is there a setting in the Power Options for it?

1. Go to http://www.intel.com/ and search for Enhanced SpeedStep
Technology - there are dozens and dozens of documents there that describe
the technology.
Or if you need a less technical description hit up Google or Wikipedia or
some similar source.
2. SpeedStep is enabled or disabled in BIOS, not in Windows. If enabled it
runs invisibly to the operating system.
