Default Intel(R)82801ER SATA RAID Controller

I am trying to install Vista Home Premium upgrade on to my pc which has xp
pro on it. Install auto skips upgrade and tryies to go to full install. Only
problem it can't find my hard disk. It can' t locate drivers for my RAID
Controller. I tried going to intels web site and downloading driver
5.5.0.1035 onto a cd. Install still doesn't reconize driver. Not sure if i'm
putting right thing on cd. Tried downloading straight onto cd..still nothing.
I don't have a floppy drive is that my problem? Does Microsoft have a fix for
this? Can't find fix through intel. Thanks for any input!!!!

Hi StormChasser,

I have managed to find some drivers for your controller. Download and save
them onto removeable media. Extract the file(s) and save the result to
removeable media. Keep the folder structure created. When you install Vista,
provide this driver at the appropriate time. Reply as to how you get on.

Hi StormChasser,

Apologies, but the link I have given you doesn't actually download anything.
I have, however, managed to track down this on the Intel site. Try this to
see if it works.
