Default Installing Win2000 on Vista Business System

I have a Vista business system. What is the best way to install Windows 2000
so I get a dual-boot syste?
Should I boot from the Win2000 CD or run it from within Vista?

I'm pretty sure you will have to boot the CD. Unfortunately you will
probably lose the ability to boot Vista after you install 2000.

A better alternative (if you have enough RAM and CPU) is to install VPC
in Vista and then install 2000 in that. VPC 2007 is free from MS.

I've got 2000, Server 2003 and XP running in VPC under Vista, along with
OS/2 and BeOS. All run fine.

Will a Win2000 installation in VPC see all the files installed under Vista?
Will a Win2000 installation in VPC see all the files properties installed
under Vista?
Will Vista overhead still affect a VPC OS?

Yes, yes, no. You "share" the Vista files to the 2000 system. Any
drives in Vista become "network" drives to 2000. This is under your
control and you set which drives/folders are shared.

OS/2? Why are you using an obsolete operating system?
My VPC has Linux on it. :-)
