Default Installing virus software onto server...

Hi,

I cannot seem to find the right newgroup to post this questions so if anyone
can point me in the right direction or even offer any help, I would be
grateful.

I need to get some anti virus software installed onto a companys server, is
this difficult and how easy it this. I cannot seem to find any procedure
advice anywhere on the internet on how you do it...

Would be grateful for any help...

Many thanks

Shane

This question makes no sense as written. Go to the server and install an
antivirus of your choice. Make sure the antivirus is supported by
whatever operating system the server is running. If this is not
something you understand, then you are not the correct person to be
doing that job! I don't say that to insult you, but seriously anyone who
doesn't understand how to install an antivirus shouldn't be messing with
a server.

If this is not what you meant, then please do post back with a better
description of what you want to do so we can help you.

Hi, Shane,

Don't mess around with your company's server. You could put them out of
business. Get a professional to administer and configure their computers.
I mean it. Don't mess around. Not knowing what you're doing could be
EXTREMELY expensive.

Hi Shane

This is best to leave to someone that works and maintains your company's server. A Server running in a Company environment is something that you need to understand. Even installing an Anti Virus has to be left to someone that understands the company's needs. There is Anti Virus suites that are especially designed for servers and these suites are high end and high cost. Leave this to the IT people that maintain that server.
