Ok, I can see this link, which mentions the value of using compatibiltiy
mode after the program is installed.

Help / FAQ
http://namu6.com/5403/

If you've discovered additional value in running the installer in
compatibility mode, then hats off to you. I've tried it for countless
program over the years and have never found it to be of any use (imho of
course).

First time that I have got any benefit out of compatibility mode too Jon!
I've always had to look for another program!
Maybe Microsoft has got something right for a change!

Yep let's hope compatibility mode has finally come of age. It's about time.

You can combine those two as one by opening the Compatibility TAB, setting the
compatibility and checking [x] Run as Administrator on that TAB ..... <s>

You choose compatibility mode before, not after, the program is installed.

I gave my PC (with Windows XP) to one of my kids. I have recently purchased
a new DELL with the Windows Vista, but find I am unable to run an especially
important artistic software program on it.
Is there anyway of also putting a Windows XP system on it? Or do I need to
return the new DELL
& toss the artistic software? HELP, please...
