Default Installation problems

My Father in law Tried to install windows vista upgrade but when it asked, he
hit clean install instead. Now his computer will not start up right. And will
not let you reinstall. Any ideas?

You haven't provided much info to get focused help. One option is to run
startup repair by booting the Vista DVD. Otherwise post more details.

Get your father in law to take it to a store.
If he didn't wipe the drive it will be easy for them to backup his work &
install vista for him.
