IE7 just KEPT launching

Hi

I use IE7 with 5 Tabs as my 'homepage'. I was researching MsMpEng.exe and
what it was/did etc.

Yesterday (after closing the MsMpEng.exe service to see what effect that
would have on my CPU usage) I TRIED to close IE as it stopped responding.

Instead of closing it, my system kept relaunching it. IE7 must have been
opened about 30 times....lots of flashing, orange IE buttons in my Taskbar -
as quick as I tried to CLose them they were launching....I could NOT get it
to stop, and could not launch Task Manager. I had to Start/>/Shut Down and
watch as Vista atempted to shut down all my running IE7 windows, which it
eventually did.

I use Vista Ultimate SP1. Performance & Reliabuility Monitor show bot a
IExporer.exe and Disruptive Shutdown on the day/time in question.

Has anyone else experinced this?
