Default How to disable mouse acceleration in Windows Vista SP1?

Hi,

I'm a Counter-Strike player.
Before Vista SP1, I use game parameter "-noforcemaccel" and the following
registry to remove mouse acceleration. I works fine in Windows XP and
Vista(With no SP1).

================================================== =============================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse]
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00 ,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,40,\
01,00,00,00,00,00,00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,05 ,00,00,00,00,00
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,66 ,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,\
05,00,00,00,00,00,a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00,38,33,15 ,00,00,00,00,00
================================================== =============================

But after I updated to Vista SP1, it does not work anymore.
I've asked all around but still no solution there.

Can anyone do me a favor that how to disable MOUSE ACCELERATION in Windows
Vista SP1?

Thanks very much.

i have exactly the same problem
Iam playuing cs 1.6 and when i had no sp1 installed it worked fine with
theese setting to launch options "-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms
-noforcemspd" and also Ive turned off the accel in mouse settings in
control panel
but after I installed the sp1 on my vista business 32bit, my mouse is
moving smoother or dunno what happend , just it is not making the
accurate move i want from it to do ...

hello, i registered just to post this: there is a workaround! use the
flags in the shortcut as mentioned above and... play in windowed mode!
yes it sucks but i'd rather live with that than having ******* up aim.

You registered just to post "this" to a thread that died a year ago?

this thread might have been dead, but it was also one of the top search
results i got while googling this problem. and after all this time, the
mouse acceleration is still a real problem so i'm sure someone will find
my post useful
