Default [HELP] Vista sidebar would not work

I tried to start it from start menu and "C:\Program File\Windows
Sidebar\sidebar.exe" but sidebar would not work.
I disabled some system services listed in "Services.msc", and i cannot
figure out any one of them may have affected windows sidebar.

any hint?

Also if you have McAfee antivirus software installed, it plays havoc with a lot of programs. Go to msconfig and disable McAfee directory, restart and it solves a lot.

Hope this helps somewhat
