Help! Computer will not turn on...

I have a Toshiba laptop that I was using earlier. I was downloading a program
called Comicster (http://www.madprops.org/comicster/) and surfing the web.
While the program was downloading, the computer started to go into
hibernation. I plugged the laptop in, so the battery could recharge. Now, I
cannot turn the laptop on at all. Can anyone help me?

Try removing the battery and leaving the laptop unplugged for about 1/2
hour.
Then replace the battery and plug it in. That's worked for a few laptops
for me.
