Having Trouble with Media Center n Nero

Can any one help me cant seem to get media center to open? it loads but goes
to task bar and cant maximize when i scroll over it show pic of movie playing
but thats it when i click on box mouse disappears and have to hit window key
to get back. have tried everything i can think of nothin seems to be working
and same thing happens when i use nero to try and play movie
