Dear all,

I am creating a new topic regarding the problems i have with my vista
rebooting.

I would like to make a new and clean installation of vista on my vaio
but I have a number of questions:

- How can I restore my pc with just vista and the driver the pc need
to run but not all the junk from sony?
- How can i partion my HD in 8 pieces with one for just vista and

Thanks a lot.

You should not have made a new thread since this is about the same
machine and the same problems.

You need to use the restore process provided by Sony or purchase a
retail version of Vista and install it instead. Don't forget to get all
the drivers and Vaio-specific software from Sony.

It would be extremely foolish to partition your hard drive that way, but
if you insist on doing this you can create partitions during a clean
install or with third-party partitioning software such as Acronis Disk
Director.

It is unlikely that your problems with this machine have anything to do
with Vista and you should take the machine back for testing and/or
replacement. However, if you want to be sure that the problems are not
the operating system do a factory restore and see what happens. If the
machine still exhibits the problems, take it back.
