Default External Monitor Screen

Good evening. My laptop has a 15'4 in wide screen display and I also have an
external 17' full screen display monitor because of migraines. For some
reason my external screen displays the same picture and screen size as my
laptop (height & width). Is there a way that I can change my screen settings
on my external monitor so that it will display in it's full screen capacity
without interferring with my laptop settings? Thanks.

Default Re: External Monitor Screen

Right-click the Desktop, and choose Personalize. Then click on Display
Settings. Click on #1 monitor and #2 monitor to adjust their resolution
settings. To tell which is which, right-click the monitor icons and choose
Identify.
