eSATA card bios won't load

Just bought a SIIG eSATA II PCIe card to run a 750g extenal Seagate FreeAgent
Pro in eSATA. After installing, Vista reconized the card and loaded the
drivers "over the net".
My problem is when I boot up, the bios in the siig card is suppose to load
every time it's booted. It doesn't! I get a message that states: WARNING:
HAVE OPTION ROM CANNOT BE INVOKE (VENDOR ID:1095h0, device id:3132H). (I know
the spelling and grammer are wrong, but that's exactly how it's written).
I've tried different slots and it's always the same results.

Is the drive connected and turned on when you boot the system?

If the drive is turned off or otherwise not connected, at least that is my
experience with my Seagate eSATA drive and its add-in adapter.

Yes, the drive is turned on. The card won't load the bios during boot up
that it needs to talk to the drive.

Once you get to the desktop, can you see and use the drive? Sometimes it
won't load until the desktop, can you see and use the drive when at the
desktop? If not, first thing to check is whether or not there are later
Vista Compatible drivers at either the Seagate or SIIG website for your
card. Second, make sure the eSATA cable is secure, I've found it can be
deceptively loose. In other words, appear to be well connected by in fact
not be the case. Disconnect and reconnect it.

Finally, if that doesn't resolve it, make sure the controller card is well
seated in its slot as I've found they sometimes are not well seated in the
slot even though it appears to be the case when you connect the cable.
That's because the card is ******* into place, holder the connection part of
the card in place while sometimes, the back end, has come up out of the
slot.

I'm assuming you've checked to make sure your motherboard supports SATA.

Have you checked to see if there's any relevant settings in the BIOS?

I boot up in verbose mode and I see a text screen very briefly that
relates to my SATA controller -- I'm using internal SATA drives; my
Seagate is USB only. If you watch that carefully you will see a key
code to stop and open it for configuration. Maybe you have to set that
up first?

Have you checked SIIG for updated drivers for VISTA?

Which card is your controller? Although the descriptions include VISTA
in the list of OS's there are no VISTA drivers listed when you look in
support -- that may just mean that it is happy with out of the box
drivers.

Incidentally, if all else fails, run Windows Update / Hardware and see
if it offers a driver for the SIIL 3112 chip that is in their cards
(and my SYBA) although I try to avoid MS hardware updates.

I don't think it has to does it if you are using a PCI/PCIe card?
