Default error code 10

Further to my precious post ,I even tried system restore but even that had an
unspecified error to it and could not resore my system to a week ago .I feel
the only thing left is a complete format of the drive and re-install windows

It is not often Vista fault you know. So many hundreds of things can be done
from the original load to the operation of the system by anybody that to
blame the software is not the answer but to learn why it went wrong and not
repeat the error. XP and previous systems all had learning needs.
