I bought an Emachine a while back that came with Windows XP already on it. My
computer started slowing down and virus's and such so i reloaded my computer
with a free copy of Vista 32bit. all was fine but today all of a sudden it
says my copy isnt genuine when in theory it is. Ive tried every single fix i
could find on the forums and nothing works, it all leads abck to "error
0xC004E003". does any one know the number to wondows so i can give them a
piece of my mind? OR some way to fix this problem?
2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".
3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA Validation Problems" forum
and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post. http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/...aspx?SiteID=25
4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an appropriate solution.

Buy a legit copy of Vista, instead of installing someone else's copy!
If you give MS a piece of your mind, you will have nothing left!!

free copy of Vista 32bit....hmm .... I wonder what the problem could be
It's amazing people are stupid enough to pay hundreds of dollars for Vista,
when there are free versions which are genuine "in theory" floating around.
buy Vista, or reinstall XP, and get some good virus software (you can
actually get Free virus software)
honestly, I'm surprised an Emachine built for XP would have enough guts to
even run vista.

You may simply be using a pre-release copy of SP1. Those all expired this
week. You would have been getting a warning for several days before this,
however. If that is what it is then you need to uninstall SP1 and allow
Windows Update to bring you back up to date and offer you the final SP1.
Type winver in Start/Search and see if an expiration date is listed. If an
expiration date of June 30 appears then SP1 is the issue.
The phone number you need is provided by the activation wizard when
activation over the internet fails. With your error code it may. Does the
lower left corner of the System Information page show that Vista is
activated? If not, click the link to start the activation wizard. If
internet activation fails, follow the intructions for phone activation and
keep the window open. It has codes the activation agent will need in order
to help you. IIRC you can also start the activation wizard by typing
'slmgr -ato' in Start/Search.
If you got the software at Vista launch and it was an evaluation copy then
it would have expired a year ago so I don't think that is the issue. If
what you got was marked Not For Resale then you got a standard copy of Vista
that does not expire.
